VRLWT11 Montreal

The third and last race with the Formula Nippons in the VRL winter trophy took place in Montreal, Canada. András Király took poleposition and drove to a straight win. Behind him Dennis Douna turned a 6th place on the grid in a 2nd place on the podium. Robin Verdegaal started from 7th, worked his way up to 4th, but when the tyres degraded he struggling with the handling of the car and plummeted back down to 8th position.

As the winter trophy switches to the BMW M1 Procar series, Király leads the standings with 108 points, followed by Douna with 104. Defending league champion Verdegaal finds himself in 8th position after three disastrous races. Ruskus and Offermans are further down in the standings in 11th and 23rd position. More
