Presenting the SFH BMW 2002 Tii, the team’s car for the coming races in the Vlaamse Racing League (VRL) (download).
After Andras Kiraly’s title in the 2011 Winter Trophy the following 2011 Spring Trophy started off with the 1979 F1 mod. After three races it’s SFH’s Robin Verdegaal who leads the standings. Although he had to forfait on the Salzburgring, victories on Spa-Francorchamps and Estoril gave him a small lead over Ricardo Michalewski.
Johan Nieuwenhof suffered serious technical difficulties and couldn’t get his Lotus lined up in time for the first race. Even in Austria and Portugal he struggled to match his own pace in previous seasons, scoring a 12th and 8th place. Nieuwenhof now shares a 10th place in the standings with Belgian rival Steven van Opstal.
Another Belgian driver, Filip Verbert, returning to the team after an overseas adventure, suffered similar problems in the Tyrrell. A consecutive 9th, 13th and 17th place finish leaves him in 14th place in the standings.
