VRLWT11 Brno

rfactor.sfh.bmw.m1.cup.hiresBMW M1’s at Brno: race 4 of the 11th VRL Winter Trophy was a great success for team SFH. Jeffrey Ruskus took pole position with a laptime of 1:57.928. András Király looked strong to take that pole away from Ruskus, but he stranded at 0.015 of a second. Another 0.077 seconds slower was Dennis Douna, rounding up the all SFH top 3 on the grid.

Király took the lead shortly after the start and built a solid lead over Ruskus and Douna, while Verdegaal slowly worked his way forward from 8th on the grid. Nieuwenhof struggled to keep the BMW’s tires in shape and although he moved forward into 9th place he had to give it all up to finish 14th.

András Király turned out to be on a different strategy. Pitting halfway he had to make up serious time on the front runners. He quickly caught Verdegaal in 3rd place but the race was too short and his charge ended at 0.2 seconds from Douna on the finish line.

P1 to 4 for SFH, and equal points for Kiraly and Douna, who still lead the championship in front of Kenneth Jeanty, Bart Stroobants and Nico Roman. More
