VRL debutant Wilfred vd Brink came, saw and conquered at Pukekohe. In the tenth VRL wintertrophy Wilfred’s SFH Ford V8 Supercar qualifies on pole position, takes the lead into turn one, and goes on to win the race. Following eleven seconds later, Robin Verdegaal takes another second place after last race at Le Mans. Marcel Offermans and Erwin Zwart complete the SFH quartet in eleventh and twentyfourth place.

Twentysix competitors ran around the sub one minute track in a 45 minute V8 frenzy. Next race on the calendar is Bathurst. In two weeks VRL is headed for the mountain, less than a day after SFH’s scheduled appearance in the SSCA 12 hours of Daytona.
