Three strikes for SFH in the opening race of the 11th VRL winter trophy. Dennis Douna, András Király and Jeffrey Ruskus took the podium positions after 28 laps around Istanbul in the Formula Nippon class.

Less fortunate was Robin Verdegaal who saw a 7th position on the grid go up into smoke when he ran into belgian talent Bart Stroobants in the first corner of the race. Verdegaal continued a lap behind most of the field and finished 15t, in front of Marcel Offermans.

One of the SFH cars didn’t manage to reach the finish. Matthijs Ottenhoff, who started from 8th but fell back in the opening stages, walked away unharmed after a highspeed crash in the 17th lap of the race.
