In the first race of the Benelux Endurance Series (BES) Simracing For Holland win the 5,5 hour of Spa. At the wheel of the winning car were Wilfred van den Brink and Jeffrey Ruskus, who put in a spotless performance, taking poleposition and winning the race.

1st. #19 Ferrari F575
Wilfred van den Brink / Jeffrey Ruskus
Van den Brink took pole in the #19 Ferrari F575, and drove a solid first stint, in front of Robin Verdegaal in the second SFH car, the #06 Porsche 996 Turbo. Unexpected pitbox visitors for van den Brink put Ruskus in the car before the scheduled takeover, and longer than anticipated. He managed to consolidate and even extend the #19 Ferrari’s lead, before van den Brink took over for the last part of the race. Radio problems caused some anxiety in the pitbox, but in the end #19’s race was flawless.
4th. #06 Porsche 996 Turbo
Aalt Bischoff Tulleken / Robin Verdegaal
The #06 car had everything but a spotless race, featuring problems with the steering servo and inconsistent tirewear, resulting in several single car accidents tearing off the front of the car. The #06 pitcrew – reflecting the team’s underperformance – managed to miss two of the pit-entries, due to which the car had to limp around the track for another full lap. A late comeback almost brought the car back to the podium, however SFH #06’s 4th place is still under race control investigation following accusations of breaking driverswap rules.

ret. #63 Corvette C5R
Marcel Offermans / Erwin Zwart
The third SFH car, the #63 Corvette started from 5th. Offermans drove a solid first stint, only to see his efforts unrewarded by a technical retirement at the first driver change. Zwart never got to drive a single lap in the race, very harsh after weeks of training. On a positive note, the team thinks they have found the cause of the technical failure, and are confident it will not harm their performance in the next race.
